Exile - I'm sure they'd be more than happy with a point they're 3 adrift with half a season left.

Crossed Hammers why don't you take the day off being a tedious cunt? You might enjoy it.

While you are at it look at an online dictionary and hopefully see what the word 'ridiculous' means?

I'm actually quite impressed by you knowing how to read and write, even if context eludes you.

Forgive me

Whats a Leonard or an Arthur scoreline?

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Norwich - Official Match Thread
Arthur is half a ratch 2-0
A Leonard (Leonard Hatred) is 2-1 on the grounds that he is always predicting a 2-1 win for us

Been a while since we've had a proper banana skin - and, yes, I AM an old git.

Hope we're focussed on the game as we should be in 4th place on 37 points at the end of the game. Don't expect a classic though; an energy saving containment strategy once we get our noses in front, even if we do go 0-2 down in the first half.

Have to win or else we may start to get in our heads that we struggle against the lower teams again! Same old West Ham.....

West Ham very much have an Essex fan-base these days, which probably extends deep into Suffolk, so yes, this is probably seen by many as an East Anglian derby.

Don't see what problem anyone could have with this.

But Norwich isn't in Suffolk

Like anyone said it was.

Are we having a Covid-fog related reading skills breakdown in the UK or something?

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Norwich - Official Match Thread
I dont think anyone considers this anywhere near a 'derby'

Theyre bloody miles away and nothing to do with us

West Ham v Norwich - a derby. ha ha ha what the actual fuck

Need to go strong tonight. That means no Masuaku. I expect the same team as Leeds (unless Coufel is covid free) and that will be enough to get the 3 points

H&P

Not a reading breakdown (but I see your point you never said Norwich was in Suffolk) it was inferred...

But you must be having a Covid-Fog thinking breakdown if that constitutes a local Derby... There's thousands of Man Utd fans in London does make the game against us a Local Derby!

Its not where the fanbase live its where the club is situated that makes it a local Derby...

Other types of Derby may qualify based on competitive Derby's like Man U v Liverpool or Real Madrid v Barca or an historic fan rivalry like West Ham v Millwall or Leeds v Anyone!

But I don't think Norwich v West Ham applies to any of the above?

But I might be wrong!?

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Norwich - Official Match Thread
Liverpool v Manchester clubs.. Isn't beyond the realms of a local derby as 30 ish miles.. Compared to 120 miles odd between us and Norwich..

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Norwich - Official Match Thread
While I wouldn’t be surprised to see us lose or draw this I really think we are due an easy, high scoring win.

3-0 at half time with The Flex introduced with 30 minutes to go and opening his account…
5-1

BJB

Point taken - perhaps I've loosened the definition of derby too much. What I'm saying is Norwich and Norfolk locals are a bit special and in my experience tend to have a chip on their shoulder about us.

Ah H&P

So its the old Derby for them but not for us kind of Derby!
